They came to my home and hung custom shades on nine windows.
It went very well. They were very prompt in calling me back and making an appointment to measure the windows and give an estimate for free. He came back and showed us samples of what we could choose from. They got the shades installed in just half a day. The lead time for the blinds was only four weeks.
The “story” began with my attempts to reach various sources for window treatment, and finding only one that was available when I called. Availability, the knowledge and care of the person answering the phone convinced me to have someone come to the house to give an estimate. The sales person arrived with many samples, and a good understanding of what would work best for my needs. The timing for the installation was excellent. Major Blinds was very accommodating in coordinating with the installation of window film, so that both could be done smoothly.
I replaced current window coverings with more energy efficient solutions. I have a Puget Sound view which creates intense heat from the summer sun reflecting off the water, and rainy/windy cold weather in the winter. An owner of Major Blinds made a home visit to assist me in evaluating the options for energy efficient window dressings. He introduced me to cordless blinds. The blinds are double celled, energy efficient. The cordless blinds give a sleek look to the room. The blinds can close out the view entirely or block just the portion where the sun is shining most brightly. He also suggested a blind for my kitchen skylight which allows the overhead summer sun to add unwanted heat to the house.
I really like the blinds; they do what I want them to do. I like the sleek look of them. The blinds for the doors going onto the deck were not available without cords. I did not like the messy tangled look of the cords, so Major Blinds took care of the problem, working with the manufacturer and gave me the cordless blinds without additional cost.
Initially, we purchased and had installed Graber room-darkening silhouette blinds on seven windows in the family room/kitchen area and all three of our children’s bedrooms. We purchased blinds from other company’s before. None of them compares to Major Blinds. We were impressed with the selections, we were shown. The measurements taken turned out perfect, especially the kitchen window which has a cut out at the bottom. We encountered a problem with the valance on the back door, so we spoke with Rich and he took care of the problem right away by replacing it with a special valance. I liked that one so much I decided to change all the valances. We have received many comments about how good they look. Would defiantly use Major Blinds in the future and recommend you use them as well.
We had a wonderful experience, the salesman came to our house, fully explained the pro’s and Con’s of numerous styles and price ranges, gave us the feeling he was truly looking out for our best interest, not just trying to sell us the most expensive item. He measured the windows and put in the order. We got a call when the order was ready to come install the blinds and they did a very quick and professional job of installing, we couldn’t be happier, as a matter of fact I just asked them to come out and measure two more windows in a remodeled Rec room
